Fighting Corruption

The prevention and eradication of corruption are the responsibility purposes of States to which the private sector is also called to contribute as part of civil society. Understanding this reality, AmCham Colombia developed its Declaration for Transparency and The Fight against Corruption, which allows signatory companies to have a mechanism to protect their reputation and the interests of their stakeholders, while promoting the construction of a fair and equitable operating framework, even in highly competitive markets. Today, more than 140 of our affiliates are part of this initiative and we extend the invitation for more companies to join. To do so, you only need to download the Declaration, sign it by your legal representative, and send it back to the mail: medios2@amchamcolombia.com.co

Likewise, as a complementary strategy of this struggle, AmCham Colombia has been part since 2016 of the Initiative Towards Integrity: A Construction between the Public and Private Sectors Against Corruption in Colombia, led by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime –UNODC, in order to combat this phenomenon through public-private dialogue and knowledge sharing, in order to strengthen the development of measures to prevent, suppress and penalize this phenomenon. This, through activities that bring the public and private sectors together to exchange knowledge and experience, identify challenges and propose effective anti-corruption solutions.
