  1. Merger control procedures are reactivated and new guidance for collaborations among competitors during the COVID-19 crisis was issued.

The Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio) resumed deadlines for ongoing applications and reception of new merger control filings as of May 12, 2020. Moreover, under the new guidance for collaborations among competitors, associations will be presumed to meet the efficiency test, but the parties will need to report the agreement to the SIC.

Through Decree 636 of 2020, the Ministry of the Interior has again extended the mandatory preventive isolation of all inhabitants of Colombia from May 11 to May 25, 2020, and provides the required instructions for its compliance and the exceptions to the limitation of free movement.
