Over the past decade, the Cavelier Alqueria Foundation has invested and managed with strategic partners more than 50 billion pesos for improving public educational quality and accessing young talent to quality higher education.
The Cavelier Alqueria Foundation has been joining forces over the past 10 years to influence public policies for the improvement of public education and provide access to quality higher education for the greatest number of economically challenged young people in Cundinamarca.
In this sense, the foundation has invested and managed with strategic partners more than 50 billion pesos in its four programs:
- Exceptional Talents: The objective of this program is to promote access for young people who excel for their academic and personal capacities of Official Educational Institutions of Cundinamarca, so that they access, remain and successfully complete their higher education in the best private and public universities in the country. In this sense, the foundation has benefited 292 students from 40 and more than 90 Official Educational Institutions of the department.
- Improving Educational Quality: Its purpose is to transform the reality of official educational institutions through the empowerment of their managers and teachers to innovenate in pedagogical practice, ensuring solid institutions in their daily work, with clear challenges and an institutional horizon that allows them to respond to the challenges of educational communities, benefiting 31 official educational institutions and more than 39 thousand students from the municipalities of Cajicá , Zipaquirá, Chia, Tabio and Tenjo.
- Linguistic Integration: This program provides the opportunity for students of limited resources from official educational institutions in the municipalities of Chía and Cajicá, the possibility of studying part of the primary and the entire baccalaureate at the French Lyceum Louis Pasteur in Bogota or at the Los Nogales College. After graduation as high schoolers, the foundation finances its higher education studies in the best universities in Colombia or abroad. Currently, 34 students have benefited who have stood out for their leadership and academic excellence.
- Academic Excellence Fund: Its objective is to promote and facilitate access to higher education of the children of collaborators of Alqueria, providing them with accompaniment and funding, in order to access, remain and successfully complete their university studies. So far, the foundation has supported 21 children of collaborators, in the best universities in the country.
"Equality, fraternity and solidarity must live among human beings, so over the course of these 10 years, the foundation has transformed realities, forged dreams, changed lives and managed to permeate in each of the members that make up it, a desire to contribute to their families, to the region and to the country," says Carlos Enrique Cavelier , Coordinator of Dreams of Alqueria and President of the foundation.
By 2025, the foundation hopes to be the most impacted institution in Cundinamarca, with its focus on improving the quality of public education and strengthening the region's young talent.
